Complete Bolt Kit
1973-1987 Chevy Short Bed Stepside
Unpolished Stainless for Standard Angles, Bed Strips and Bed Wood with Standard Mounting Holes
Hardware kit includes all the bolts, nuts and washers to install the bed wood, bed strips and angle strips. This includes the bed-to-frame bolts. The bolts in this kit are carriage bolts, which means they have a smooth, rounded head and a square shoulder to fit into a square hole. The original angle strip bolts in this truck are welded to the angle. Removing the angle strip bolts is difficult and may cause distortion or damage to the angle. The square shoulder carriage bolts in this kit fit in replacement angle strips with square holes. When replacing the bolts in original angle strips, the kit for angle covers should be selected because they include rib neck bolts for the angles. Unpolished bolt kits have a matte finish. Bolts shown in picture are polished stainless. This kit includes 8 bed-to-frame bolts that are 4-1/2" long. Your truck may require one or two 10-1/2" bed-to-frame bolts.
