Steel for Sides, 6 Standard Bed Strips and Bed Wood with Standard Mounting Holes
1980-1987 Ford Short Bed Flareside
Hardware kit includes all the bolts, nuts and washers to install the bed wood, bed strips and sides. This includes the bed-to-frame bolts. The bed strip and bed side bolts in this kit are carriage bolts, which means they have a smooth, rounded head and a square shoulder to fit into a square hole. The bed-to-frame bolts have an oval head with a phillips drive. Zinc-plated steel bolts appear shiny, but need to be painted to prevent rusting. Original bed floor for 83-87 is 1-piece plywood and needs 5 bed strips. Our bed wood has 7 boards requiring 6 bed strips. This bolt kit is made for a 6 strip bed. If you are using only 5 bed strips, please let us know when ordering.
